frequently asked questions

I’ve gathered some of the most common questions people ask about Coast Chimes. If you don’t find what you’re looking for here, please feel free to get in touch — I’m always happy to help.
Do you ship to the USA? And what about tariffs?
Coast Chimes has been successfully shipping to the USA for over 35 years, with thousands of happy American customers. Currently, these wind chimes enter the United States tariff-free under the CUSMA/USMCA agreement. Coast Chimes handles all the necessary paperwork to prove compliance, so you should owe absolutely nothing in tariff fees. There is still a modest brokerage fee, and there is a $20 charge at checkout to cover part of that. Postage remains 100% free. Most US orders ship via UPS.
How long before my order ships?
Everything on this website is already made and ready to ship — what you see is what you get. Coast Chimes takes pride in fast shipping, usually within two days of receiving your order. Delivery generally takes 3–12 days, depending on your location.
Can I get my order engraved?
Yes! Coast Chimes offers free engraving. Each listing includes a photo showing a sample. The engraving is done by hand using a high-speed drill with a fine diamond bit, so it’s handwritten rather than laser-cut calligraphy. Many customers mention that this feels more personal.
Can you include a gift message?
Yes, with pleasure! Coast Chimes has beautiful cards available for this purpose. Please include your message in the “Message to Seller” box at checkout, or use the contact form, or reply promptly to the “Order Received” email you’ll receive soon after placing your order. Be sure to mention how you’d like the envelope addressed, and clearly state how you’d like the message signed.
Is there any sort of guarantee?
Yes! Coast Chimes takes great pride in the design and quality of its wind chimes and stands firmly behind each one. If you experience any issue, please contact Coast Chimes, and it will be addressed promptly.
Do you accept returns?
Yes. In over 35 years, only a couple of wind chimes have ever been returned — but if, for any reason, you wish to do so, please contact Coast Chimes for directions before sending anything back. Customers are responsible for return postage.
Where are these wind chimes made?
Each wind chime is completely handcrafted in Canada, using Canadian copper and cedar.
